About
Aviini is a small publication on living intentionally — on attention, presence, and the ordinary daily decisions that quietly compose a life.
I'm Aaron Vinod. I'm an independent builder and writer thinking about how to live deliberately in a world that profits from my distraction. Aviini is where I try to figure that out, in public, one letter at a time.
What this is
A letter every week or two. Honest, exploratory, considered. Not a manifesto. Not a framework. A correspondence with the few people who care about the same questions I do.
Things I'm interested in:
- How attention is shaped by the tools we use, and what to do about it.
- The difference between a productive life and a present one.
- How small daily structures can quietly change a life over years.
- The relationship between the inner life and the outer work.
What this isn't
- A productivity newsletter.
- A list of life hacks or optimisations.
- An advertisement for anything I sell. (I'll mention my work in the footer; that's it.)
- A place where you'll be shamed for your phone use.
The work
I also build ScrollBuddy — an iOS tool that helps you put your phone down with the help of a friend. ScrollBuddy is the first product expression of the questions Aviini is exploring. There will likely be others over time.
About the name
Aviini. Soft, deliberate, made-up. The name is a vessel — it doesn't mean anything in particular today. The hope is that, over years, the work itself fills the word with meaning.
